Governor Jon Corzine unveiled his fiscal year 2010 State budget before a joint legislative session of both houses on March 10th. The Governor’s $29.8 billion proposed budget reduces spending to fiscal year 2006 levels and raises various taxes to close a growing $7.0 billion budget deficit.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority will hold its fourth public hearing on October 10th to discuss its plan to increase tolls on the Turnpike and Garden State Parkway by 50% in 2008, 50% in 2012, and 1% each year from 2014 until 2023.
