Gone is the face we loved so dear, silent is the voice we loved to hear. Too far away for sight or speech, but not too far for thought to reach. Sweet to remember who once was here and who, though absent, is just as dear.
She touched the lives of many, it is with love and gratitude that we remember our dear friend Doris Jiggetts. Doris was employed as a legal assistant with the firm since its inception. She was the long-time Legal Assistant for Howard Eichenbaum and she served as receptionist with a firm hand in keeping the Xerox, facsimile and postal machines running. Doris was also extraordinarily helpful in managing supply usage. Doris lovingly cooked for the office providing breakfast, lunch, snack and home-made ice-cream cakes for many a birthday. Her professionalism and assistance made her hard work at the firm seem effortless and her missing presence still leaves a void in all of our hearts and with the plethora of tasks she oversaw.
Besides being a joy to work with, Doris was a valuable member of the team, she was dependable, reliable, hard-working, honest, peace-loving and courteous to all, especially the couriers and delivery persons. She would usually be the first person you saw upon entering the firm and she had a way to make you feel welcome instantly, regardless of nerves or whatever might be on your mind. Her personality was a rare thing.
Doris, passed December 19, 2014 peacefully in Jeanes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Because of Doris’ affection and devotion to serving food to others, GluckWalrath is pleased to announce that with the help of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen a fund has been established in honor of Doris to continue to feed others.
